St. Louis, Missouri, October 14, 2004 - The grand opening of National Asset Recovery Services, Inc. ("NARS") new call center took place today, marking the official start of this company's operations in Panama. The center was formally inaugurated by the President of the Republic of Panama, Martin Torrijos.
During the event, NARS President, Christopher H. Buehrle pointed out that Panama has proven to be "an ideal location for its new call center due to its cosmopolitan character, a city with favorable conditions for investors as well as for clients. As well, its cultural richness and affinity with the U.S. and a bilingual labor force from which to attract first class employees.
Mr. Buehrle commented that the Panama operation is housed in a 60,000 square foot facility, which is home to more than 400 highly skilled employees. The company expects to grow quite rapidly, with the expectation of generating another 1,000 jobs. He went on to mention that the site offers clients significant cost savings, as well as quick travel connection from the U.S., while at the same time maintaining the levels of professionalism and efficiency that its clientele demands.
Among those in attendance at the official grand opening were President of the Republic of Panama Martin Torrijos, Minister of Labor , Reynaldo Rivera, the Minister of Trade and Industry, Alejandro Ferrer, as well as important representatives of the business community, members of the diplomatic corps, and members of the local and international press.
